well, hello to all..............

yes, do not remind me of how much I haven't blogged in the last month.

there has been much going on lately...for those who don't already know, Jim, my husband,

got a the score of 169 on his LSAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we can finally breathe, and the weights have been lifted.........we are still seeking the Lord's will to see were we'll be for law school, prayerfully the DC area, be we don't know that for sure, so pray that we get in were the Lord wants us...............

the last few months have been killer with his schedule, and the test and everything in between, there were a few days I wondered if we would make as a family. many times in these situations you feel deeply and utterly alone. you don't want to complain that your husband is gone all the time working, because that in and of it's self isn't too bad, a little crazy, but not too horrible; you don't want to complain because of his schooling, because so many have no vision or desire to better themselves with schooling, knowing it'll pay off in the end; but with the two combined, it's so crazy and many times lonely. however, my husband is not off fighting in a war, or risking his life every day in the line of duty in some sort of civil duty-he just works and goes to school, so to many, they do not understand, for even when many were in college themselves, it was as a single person, only to worry for themselves. and we as women are to be strong and support our husbands, as I 100% do, and never waiver, never show the ugly side of things many times as they are...were it not for grace as the song goes-I have no idea were I'd be-I've built up a wall to not get hurt...for the hundredth time, yes, Jim is working, not sitting at home on his duff in front of a plasma tv, although I think he'd enjoy that...but when asked many times you begin to wonder why people ask that, when pity isn't really needed...

anyways, all that to say this, the Lord isn't done with us yet, and through it all, with so many prayers, by me, and friends and family, HE got us through this chapter, and we're looking onto the next. I just hope that I will be able to learn from this experience, and handle things in a much godlier way the next time ...I have seen so many things that I need to improve upon and the Lord is so good and gracious, I don't understand His love for us sometimes, but need it all the same.God has blessed us with a wonderful family, and thankfully, the children are still small, and hopefully won't remember my faults in their early little lives, I feel so humbled that the Lord has in trusted me with them, and that I've failed so much already; and yet, He's still their helping me and being patient with me; a child caring for a child.

we're so happy that Jim's schedule has changed, now that things are coming to an end at school, this will help tremendously!!!!!!!!!!!!he now has Sunday's off and is home on Saturday's as well; and we still have an evening during the week too! The kids are so happy too, they just love being with their daddy, they will even sit quietly through an entire football game, just to be with him:) and mommy has no one to cheer for her team, oh well, I'm just happy that's it's mostly quiet in the house!!!!!they do enjoy doing a touch down dance like the receivers and running backs!!!!!!!!

aside from going a little crazy............about three weeks ago I stopped walking with Mary Cathrine, it was awesome meeting her and Duke, but she did get a job, praise the Lord!!!!! I have managed to keep off the 5lbs, and still measuring the same at the waste. I don plan on going back to walking, I got another Halti for Stryder our BLK Lab, so that will continue to train him as well. Ethan just makes it a bit slow, so, I'm still working out details, but continue to pray for me, now that the stress has started to go down, I'm hoping that working on my weight will be more successful. we're also changing our eating habits, a true lifestyle change. but I'm an addict, and everyday i have to purpose not to stop for pop and coffee, and stay in the far lane to avoid a drive through; I'm an addict and admitting it to the world...I'm still trying to lose 1o more lbs by thanksgiving, i want to try and reach my goal............

this should lighten the mood, the first day-first day walking , i bring Stryders ball, and some treats, thinking I'd work on his training...after our walk/jog, almost 2miles, I thought I'd be sweet and let Stryder cool off with a drink from the river. {we were at the sent. trail at the swimming area, just above the dam} well, silly me, thought lets, work on come and release; well, I threw his ball and he ignored it, and began to swim elsewere, so i chased him fearing that he might possibly bolt and run up towards the road; he then saw ducks floating along, minding there business, not asking to be chased; now of course we all know, that labs are in fact bird dogs, he did in fact, chase the ducks down stream...feeling of course many feeling for this dog, which I will not convey; I was not going to let him get away; so, who gets to go into the river, after the dog, why me of course...I was swimming over my head towards my stuip dog when he then turned around and swam to shore and looked at me as if I had some problem or something. many know of the river and how wide it is, so just so you know, I made it nearly half way across, not realizing my cell phone was indeed, in my pocket. to this day, it only holds a charge for one day at a time, and allows me to only use it at it's convince; of course I had no idea that I had entered a wet t-shirt contest that day- for I surely would've won..it was only in the high 60's at that time, so you could only imagine how the water felt in the first weeks of September.....

the kids are well and enjoying every moment of school, and can't wait to tell me everything while driving down the road. they hope to get homework and love to work on their writing and reading, they truly love learning, what a gift to be given; if only others did too!

sorry it's bee so long since I've update things, and that it's been a long post, but i thought i should feel you in on things while I'm up:)

love to all

Hello, my name is Sarah Vaughn. I was checking out some of my friends blogs. I attended Crown College and graduated there in 2004. I was just writing because I saw that you said you might move to D.C. I live near D.C.(Waldorf, MD) and go to Independent Baptist Church(which is like 10-15 min. away from D.C.) My dad is the pastor there, Pastor Mike Creed. This is just an invitation to come visit our church if you do move here. =) I have a blog too.
